This immersive experience is perfectly tailored for young minds aged 3-5 and 6-12, aligning with the EYLF, MTOP, and Australian Curriculum to ensure a rich and educational adventure.
Exploring Communication
For Our Youngest Participants (2-3 Years Old)
Our workshop begins with a playful introduction to the magic of communication for our youngest learners. Through engaging activities, children will discover the joy of expressing themselves using simple signals and symbols, setting the foundation for future language exploration. They will even get to dabble with some basic semaphore signals, such as aeroplane signalling, making the experience both fun and educational.
For Older Participants (6-12 Years Old)
Older children will dive deeper into the historical methods of communication. Hands-on lessons in Morse code and semaphore will take them back in time, where they'll learn to decipher secret messages and master the art of flag signalling. This exploration of past communication methods not only teaches history but also enhances their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Hands-On Learning and Skill Development
Our Codes and Communications STEM Workshop is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience that integrates essential STEM concepts. Children will engage in activities that foster teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. In a supportive environment, they will collaborate to crack codes and send messages, building essential communication skills that will last a lifetime.
Curriculum Integration
The workshop is meticulously designed to align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time, Our Place (MTOP), and the Australian Curriculum. Our resources and activities are tailored to meet these standards, ensuring that educators can seamlessly integrate them into their existing curriculum.
