Welcome to Beyond The Beanstalk's Everybody Has Wind Sustainable STEM Workshop

Harness the Power of Wind with Everybody Has Wind!

Explore the essential role of wind energy in sustainable living with our Everybody Has Wind Sustainable STEM Workshop. This engaging programme invites students to investigate how wind moves to generate kinetic and stored energy through a series of interactive stations. Perfectly suited for educators and learners, this workshop combines hands-on activities with scientific exploration, aligning with the EYLF, MTOP, and Australian Curriculum.

Explore Wind Energy in Action:

Windmills and Anemometers:

  • Hands-On Creation: Students use their own energy to power cardboard windmills and anemometers, learning how wind can be harnessed to produce movement. This station highlights the principles of wind power and its conversion into kinetic energy.

Foot Rockets:

  • Dynamic Experiment: Experience the thrill of upward propulsion as students use downward momentum to push air through piping, launching a rocket into the air. This activity demonstrates how wind can be directed and utilised to create forceful movement.

Wind Blown Cars:

  • Racing Fun: Using hand fans, students race miniature cars by filling their sails with wind. This exciting challenge illustrates the application of wind energy in propelling objects and the dynamics of wind-driven motion.

Propelling Petals:

  • Creative Crafting: Students assemble their own propellers and learn to control them, taking home their personalised creations. This activity provides insights into how wind can be used to drive mechanical motion and encourages creativity through hands-on building.
