In this captivating workshop, children engage in four interactive stations, each designed to delve deep into the science behind glowing substances and uncover the secrets of luminescence. From fluorescent chalk drawings to hydrophobic displays, every station offers a mesmerising glimpse into the world of glow.
Exciting Activities:
UV Lights Exploration: Using UV lights, children observe the enchanting effects of fluorescent drawings, learning about the properties of fluorescent materials and the role of UV light in activating their fluorescence.
Glow Tanks Adventure: At the glow tanks station, children explore the captivating world of hydrophobic substances, witnessing the interplay of oil, glow pigment, and water to create dazzling displays of luminescence.
Miniature Glowing Bowling: Fine motor skills are put to the test as children engage in a thrilling game of glowing bowling, aiming to knock down luminous pins and experiencing the excitement of glowing entertainment firsthand.
Scientific Challenge: In a scientific challenge, children employ analytical skills to categorise different glowing substances based on their properties and behaviours, honing their observation and experimentation abilities.
Creative Endeavour:
As the workshop draws to a close, children embark on a creative endeavour, crafting their very own glowing light to take home. Using simple materials and scientific principles, they create luminous masterpieces that illuminate their surroundings with brilliance.
